Here's a Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen that we outfitted with a Thule roof rack system using the Thule ARB47 AeroBlade load bars that we had professionally powder-coated in black semi-gloss which matches the black powder-coating found on other Thule products in both color, quality of finish, and durability. The AeroBlades attach to the Jetta side rails using the Thule 450R Crossroad Foot Pack. Next we added two Thule 518 Echelon fork mount bike carriers that we positioned to the far outside of the bars. This position allows for easier loading and roof between the bike carriers for other carriers such as an Thule 685XT Atlantis 1200 cargo box, or a Thule 883 Glide and Set kayak carrier for example.
