In addition to the roof rack, we added two Thule 594XT Side Arm bike carriers.  These bike carriers hold the bike with a ratchet arm hook that grips the front wheel rather than the bike's frame.  Everything got locked up using an eight pack of Thule 588 - Lock Cylinders, the roof rack is locked to the roof, the bike mounts are locked to the roof rack and the ratchet arm locks the bikes on, all with just one key.

New Fit for the 2012 Toyota Camry using the Thule Traverse Foot and KIT1438 at Rack Outfitters

If your interested in the new 2012 Toyota Camry 4 door sedan and want to put a roof rack system on it the you're in luck because Thule's "Fit Viking" has just released the details to get the perfect Thule fit.  The current fit kit #KIT1438 which works on previous Camrys also works on the new 2012 with some slight adjustments for the width of the new roof.

So, for your installing needs:
- There is no change in the distance from the windshield to the front bar.
- There is no change in the barspread
- Front bar foot distance (l-r) = 39 7/8 (36 on the ARB Scale)
- Rear bar foot distance (l-r) = 39 1/2 (35,5 on the ARB Scale)

Here's a complete Thule car roof rack for the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Volkswagen Jetta SportsWagen 5 Door. Comprised of recommended Thule rack components, it's just what you need to add cargo capacity to your vehicle.

For this installation we added two Thule 518 Echelon fork mount bike carriers.  The Echelon comes from Thule with silver wheel trays, we swapped those out for black trays to keep the complete rack system black.  Also, the Echelons are attached the the AeroBlade T-slots in both the front and rear load bars using Thule's old style Xadapt9 rather than the current Xadapt9 that only uses the front T-slot.  Next, we positioned the carriers to the far outside on the bars to leave room for a Thule Atlantis 1200 cargo box. 

The Volkswagen Jetta SportsWagen rack comes with everything you need; 2 AeroBlade aluminum load bars and 4 Rapid Crossroad Feet that connect to raised side rails perfectly. This rack is for a Volkswagen Jetta SportsWagen that has a raised rails that run parallel to the sides of the vehicle (front to rear).  A rubberized stainless steel band wraps around, conforms and grips the side rails.  There's no drilling, scratching, or damaging your car in any way. Pics & Vid: Toyota Tacoma with Thule 422XT Xsporter Truck Rack by Rack Outfitters

Here's a Toyota Tacoma that we outfitted with a Thule 422XT Xsporter truck rack.  The Tacoma has a bed rail track system that requires the use of a Thule XK1 Adapter Kit.  This Kit allows the rack to clamp to the track rather than clamp to the underside of the bed rail as it would on trucks without the bed rail track system.

Here is the front attachment.  It's important to note that the because this Tacoma is a short bed, as most are, the height adjustabillity is limited due to interference of the wheel well.  The height that is available, however, is ideal for most applications.

Here is the rear attachment and you can see that we set the upright in a cantilevered position to maximize the load bar spread.  This is a unique design feature of the Xsporter having it's own track system for the mounting hardware which allows for more mounting options.

With the Xsporter installed we added a Thule 810 SUP Taxi for up to two paddleboards.  The SUP Taxi positions the bottom paddleboard about 6 inches above the load bars.  The multi-height design of the Xsporter would allow the load bar to drop down one position to get the paddleboard closer to the cab height offering a lower lift height.  This is another totally unique benefit of the Xsporter.

Here we installed Thule 839 Get-a-Grip paddle carrier to the side of the Xsporter upright.  This is a much more easily accessible location for the carrier.  The Get-a-Grip includes 45mm carriage bolt which are too short for this mounting location.  65mm carriage bolts are required and available seperately.

2012 Mazda 3 with Thule Rapid Podium BLACK AeroBlade Roof Rack by Rack Outfitters

Here's a brand new 2012 Mazda 3 that we outfitted today with a Thule Rapid Podium AeroBlade roof rack system using our exclusive black AeroBlade load bars.  Rack Outfitters takes Thule's standard silver AeroBlade load bars and has them professionally powder-coated to match Thule's black semi-gloss bike trays in both color and durability of finish.  We also installed Thule's top-of-the-line Echelon bike carriers but we swapped out the silver trays for black to give the whole rack system a consistant, monochromatic look.

Here's the bare roof Mazda 3, it's a good looking sports car but pretty ordinary and just like any other Mazda 3 

The Mazda 3 has these wonderful panels on the roof side trim.

You'll need to use the end of a screw driver or a little tool with an edge to it to pop these panels off.

Here you can see what's under the panel, it's a special threaded connection point and Thule has engineered a Fit Kit that perfectly interfaces with this connection point.

The first part of the Fit Kit is a threaded post.  Thule provides a hex wrench to tighten this on.  We use a little lube or grease to make sure it will come back out when you want it to.

Next part of the Fit Kit is an aluminum spacer.  This spacer is a specific lenght and will press between the roof and the upper portion of the Fit Kit.  Make sure the spacer does not sit up on top of the trim.  Push the trim to the side if necessary to make sure the space is fully seated.

We've attached the Rapid Podium Foot Pack loosely to the load bar and attached the metal Fit Kit plates and rubber bases.  Now you drop the foot down over the threaded posts.

A lock washer then nut are used to secure the top of the Fit Kit to the treaded posts.  Thule included the wrench to snug thing down.

You'll now want to get the load bars centered side to side.  The bars will slide easily back and forth with the two screws are left loose.  It may also be necessary to press inward on the two screws to allow the bar to move freely.

Now that the bars are centered up, it's time to crank down the two fasteners that connect the Fit Kit plate to the Foot Pack.  These fasteners will simultaneously tighten the Foot to the load bars, such a slick design.

The outer cover attaches to the foot with a lock housing plug.  Press in the plug in the correct orentiation, then place the cover over the foot and turn the knob to attach the cover.  Of course, it's advisable to replace these lock plugs with actual Thule lock cylinders, though it is optional.
